Why Our Screens Make Us Less Happy

In 2007, 32% of discretionary time in the US was spent on a screen. Today that number is 90%. As our time on device has skyrocketed since the invention of the smartphone something else has been happening. Our overall satisfaction with our device time has gone down. Yes, today we spend 3x the amount of time on device, and yes we are less satisfied with how we use that time more so now than ever.
