The descriptions of your top strengths give you a language to help you understand yourself and others better. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
Maybe you’re heard people say they’re an ISTJ or an ENFP and wonder what they’re talking about. Or maybe you know your type but don’t know what to do with it. The MBTI measures how you perceive the world and how you make decisions. It will help you better understand why you behave in a certain way or how you naturally communicate with others. On the list of assessments that build confidence, the MBTI is a commonly used tool by HR departments in the hiring process.
According to coach Kristi Erickson, the Enneagram is a personality typing system that identifies 9 types or ways we see and interpret the world. It’s distinctive from CliftonStrengths or Myers Briggs in that it helps us understand the motivations behind why we do what we do. When using any of these assessments, be cautious about putting labels on yourself or others. Use them in context with everything else you know about yourself to get the most benefit from the results.
