Let Me Tell You More About The Book…
The battle for our attention span has never been
more real and more fierce than it is today.
We’re constantly bombarded with emails, text messages, Slack notifications, push notifications, news notifications, bank account notifications, work reminders, family reminders, juicy celebrity gossip headlines, controversial tweets, friend requests, follow requests—the list goes on and on and on and on.
We’re made to believe that the constant flow of information being pushed in front of us deserves our complete, undivided, and instant attention.
But at What Cost?
- The purpose of this book is to help you understand how to make choices that free up your time and attention so you can focus on becoming a better version of yourself.
- It’s about giving you a framework that you can use to engage in behavior you know is important and beneficial to your life.
- And it’s about equipping workplace leaders with the tools and knowledge they need to help their employees invest in behaviors that can lead to more happiness, productivity, and more personal growth.
About the Author
Sean Higgins has been building companies over the past 11 years at the intersection of productivity and technology. After graduating with an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in 2014, Sean Higgins emerged as a key player in Minnesota, the Startup Capital of the North. Founder of St. Paul-based video startup ilos videos, he led impressive sales from $0-1 million in annual revenue and raised $3 million in capital.
It’s no secret that 90% of our free time is spent looking at screens, and the number is only growing. This led Sean to shift his focus to a new business venture that helps people find more time for their wellness. In 2018, he launched BetterYou, a healthy habits companion that’s helped thousands of members focus on their health and achieve goals they care about.
Using AI and behavior design, the app provides goal setting in four holistic areas of wellness. If you fall off track, a gentle “nudge” reminds you to get back on track. Sean raised $4 million in seed financing. Today, BetterYou has helped many organizations level up their population’s health, unlocking new levels of engagement and productivity. The same principles that drive BetterYou’s behavior design apply to anyone’s daily habits, and Better Habits bridges that gap.
