Permissions depend on the types of goals you want to set.

  • Battery Optimization – allows BetterYou to update your scores accurately and continuously without draining your battery
  • Contacts – allows BetterYou to help you stay in touch with your favorite people

I don’t think my stats are updating – what should I do?

  • Did you just hit the gym, listen to Audible, or do something else to reach your goals? Give the app about 30 minutes to update. Sometimes it just needs a few minutes to catch up!
  • The first thing to do is to try closing the app and re-opening. To completely close the app, swipe out of it.
  • Another thing you can do is to make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi or using Cellular Data.
  • It is also good to check if the app is up to date. You can do this by checking in the Google Play Store for the latest app version.

  • If that new screenshot is a Screen Time screenshot, BetterYou securely uploads it to its servers. Once processed, your phone will receive a push notification letting you know that BetterYou received your app usage data and will begin the process to give you credit.

  • BetterYou requires cellular data or an internet connection to work in the background to seamlessly give you credit for what you do every day to enhance your wellness. You can still update your goals while offline.

How do I report an issue with the app?

If the app crashes or you are experiencing persisting issues, please email help@betteryou.ai with a detailed description of the issue you witnessed. We’re on it!
